My 10 Favourite Mummy Blogs

mommybloggers

– Hurrah for Gin. Hands down my favourite on the web! We both have two small boys – and everything she writes, I think ‘me tooooooo!’ Also, I wish I could draw like her. If you are having a bad day, this blog is absolutely the antidote!

– My Lovely Little Lunch Box. I am definitely not the best cook in the world, but I still have to feed my munchkins – so I love this blog, with easy to follow (and delicious) recipes that even I can master. It’s focused on baby led weaning – but the recipes will feed happy toddlers and small children too. The photography is also beautiful. Anyone for a Peanut Butter and Banana Muffin?

– Baby Drool. A fellow highly commended blog at the Time Out Kids Awards back in September, Baby Drool is a refreshingly funny and honest take on motherhood. So well written and constantly makes me laugh! Faye hasn’t blogged for a while, but I really hope she will be back soon as I enjoy her posts!

– Arabian Notes. This Abu Dhabi-based blog is another of my favourites. Most the posts are relevant to Mummies all over the UAE. I love the passion for travel that shines through this blog and inspires me to have the confidence to travel with my little monsters. The photography is beautiful too.

– Eeh Bah Mum. I’ve been reading this blog for years now and it still makes me snort with laughter. Everything that she writes makes me nod in agreement. It was one of the first blogs out there that really spoke honestly about the hard bits of being a Mum – and it continues to do that so perfectly.

– The Mothership. Helen is a magazine editor here in Dubai – and that is very clear when you are reading her blog, as she is a master of words. She’s funny, honest, and has the cutest daughter ever to be born in this city (I know, I’ve met her). Follow her immediately if you haven’t already!

– Eats Amazing. If you have fussy eaters (and I definitely do), this blog could be your savior. It’s all about making food fun – and you can even buy the things that help you do it on the blog itself (such as bento boxes, fun food picks, and silicon pots to jazz up a plate of food). I am an avid reader – and shopper (oops).

– Edspire. Jenny has one the biggest Mummy blogs in the UK and I read every time she posts. Her blog tells the story of motherhood with her  twins Esther and William, beautiful angel daughter Matilda Mae, and rainbow baby Bea. She is a passionate campaigner and fundraiser for sleep safety and The Lullaby Trust. Jenny is also a teacher and her posts are helpful, inspirational, raw, and very honest.

– Mum’s The World. This blog gives me wanderlust! Launched by British friends in the UAE, it covers local events, things happening in the UK, and amazing holiday ideas worldwide. I love the way the blog is written, with big, beautiful photos that make me want to transport there through the screen of my laptop. A must read.

– The Unmumsy Mum’s Guide to Motherhood. This insanely popular UK blog probably needs no introduction as I am sure that most Mummies already follow… But if you don’t, get over to the Facebook page and like it immediately! As well as writing some of the funniest and most relatable blog posts on the web, the Facebook page has become a community for Mums looking for a bit of comedy in this thing called motherhood. I love love love it!
